SEATING SCROLLS
CUSTOM SEATING SCROLLS ARE DELIVERED
ALL OVER THE COUNTRY

Seating scrolls are new and are used instead of place cards. People used to through away the place cards.
Now, after the wedding, you have a beautiful memento to hang in your
new home listing all of the attendees who helped you celebrate your special day.

Because of our special process, you do not have to give us the final seating arrangement until approximately 14 days before the wedding and you can make changes up to 10 days before. The seating scroll can be shipped to you unframed and you can have it framed after the wedding; or we can ship you a completely framed seating scroll.

If you don't see exactly what you are looking for, we will customize your seating scroll. We have artistically produced scrolls with faded pictures of the bride and groom in the background. On one of our calligraphy seating scrolls, we had a bride who got married at the Ritz Carlton and wanted a picture of the Ritz Carlton in the background.
On another, a bride got engaged on Cape Cod and wanted a picture of the
engaged couple on a beach at sunset in the background.

Whatever your wish, we are here to make you happy!

Traditional scrolls can have a white, ecru or pastel colored background with your choice of calligraphy fonts and ink colors. We recommend darker ink colors for best presentation. The size of the scroll is determined by your number of guests, and your choice of calligraphic fonts. Fonts with more curves and swashes take up more space and to make the scroll readable, can sometimes increase the size of the scroll by 20%.

FLORAL SCROLLS
Our seating scrolls can be decorated in a silk flower and lace border.
We also have available several different types of dried flower borders.

UNUSUAL SEATING SCROLLS
Wedocalligraphy.com prides itself in being very creative with our seating scrolls. Our custom designed seating scrolls can have a superimposed picture of the bride and groom, baby pictures, or picturesque scenery. We can use your engagement picture or a picture from any happy occasion. We can also superimpose a picture of your wedding cake (taken in advance from a similar cake produced by your baker).
Your seating scroll can be printed on Art-Canvas with a superimposed picture
and framed in an ornate frame(as pictured below),

THEMED SCROLLS
We can produce themed seating scrolls matching a theme of a wedding or party, and we can match the color scheme of the wedding, including matching colors of your bridesmaids dresses incorporated into the design and matte.

FRAMED OR MOUNTED
Seating scrolls can be purchased mounted on foam core or custom framed. We can also ship the scroll un mounted for you to have mounted and framed at your location. We can ship seating scrolls anywhere in the country. Framed seating scrolls that are to be shipped requires an extra charge for custom crating and packaging. It is our recommendation that because of the extra packaging and shipping expense, that whenever practical, you get the scroll
framed at a frame shop that is local to you.

We can also laminate any seating scroll in order to ship rolled up
in a mailing tube anywhere in the country.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING YOUR LISTS FOR SEATING SCROLLS
List should be finalized approximately 14 days before wedding

  • List your guests in alphabetical order
  • List guests by formal title (Mr.Mrs,Dr.Father,Rabbi,Honorable)
  • List table numbers on same line to right of guest name
  • List wedding party by title as well as table
  • Do not use spreadsheets
  • Do not make columns
  • Check for spelling
  • Save as "ASCII" file or ".TXT" file only

Your wedding party names should be listed in your regular guest list below with their seat assignments. Do not list seat assignments when listing the members of the wedding party that will appear at the top of the scroll.

LIST ALL NAMES AT ALL OTHER TABLES IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER,
BY LAST NAME, WITH CORRESPONDING TABLE NUMBERS. This should be a single column, continuous list.
Do NOT use tabs, commas, or other punctuation, EXCEPT periods (.) do belong after Mr. Mrs. Dr. Ms.
Do not use ampersands (&) in place of "and" . Do NOT skip lines after each name.
It is OK to name your tables by "names" instead of numbers; however, this may
cause the scroll to be wider to accommodate table names.

Your list should look something like this:
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Abrams  8
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Adler  15
Dr. and Mrs. Nicholas Arnold 7
Mrs. Harriet Baron  9
etc. etc. etc.

After you complete this, save your file in a .txt format or ASCII format.
